Draw Me Naked

Okay so this is one of my favorites I’ve ever done. If I’d had the time to continue this into a full bodied drawing I would have - it just felt like it was flowing really well. Really felt the benefits of charcoal in this one! Love the really crisp dark lines and how light you can make it as well. View Larger

Some much more recent drawings.

After uploading all these images, it’s interesting seeing how I’ve improved…well I think so anyway!

Some longer and larger, more completed drawings.

Trying to pull together all the techniques I’ve been focusing on recently.

Focusing on working with tone and looking more at the body as a structure and not as just a bunch of lines is really pushing my drawing forward.

I think I actually prefer the image here with not much line and the deep shadows. It conveys a lot of emotion and stylistically is a lot more interesting to look at.

Like this one. Girl curled up on the floor, I think the simplicity of it and the overall pose shows a lot of emotion.
Also I didn’t have to worry about not drawing her face! Faces are something I need to work on, whereas here I was more comfortable. View Larger

Focusing on some goodness quality of line in these.

Incomplete drawings but here I was beginning to see how line can be used more effectively.

Some drawings from a while back, emphasizing on squash and stretch. Quality of these might not be amazing, but I like the way they are going and this kind of weird disgusting out of proportion type stuff.

A couple more from life drawing class, pulling together all the techniques learned so far. I feel like I can see a definite improvement thanks to the practise!
